Sometimes in order to get our attention he has to make us come out of our comfort zone. He takes us out of the place that we're familiar with to prepare us for where he wants to take us. Ephesians 2:10 says “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” So, what good works will you do? He is not only preparing us, but he is making sure that we will appreciate it when we get there.
This Resurrection Sunday we won't get to hear the Easter speeches and admire the beautiful frills, and the biggest thing we will miss is the FULL sanctuary! That’s different and definitely unusual or unfamiliar, but God wants us to appreciate EVERY Sunday, not just Easter Sunday or Resurrection Day. Yes, He died and rose but be we’ve known that ALL YEAR LONG! So the question is “why don't we celebrate Him all year long”? Let's learn to appreciate Jesus All year long, not just Easter and not just during COVID-19, but EVERYDAY and I promise he'll bless you all year long.
He sees you!
He hears you!
He loves you!
We will celebrate Jesus this Sunday and everyday afterwards. I challenge you to find a way to gather and be creative, so that you can feel familiar in this unfamiliar time. Then watch God move and do a good work!
